York Plan 2.0 Model for Regional Mobilization of Robotics
In World War II, every day was Labor Day in York, Pa.
Facing enemies on two fronts in that 1940s war, York County industries shared detailed lists of machinery and manpower with each other.
Instead of competing with cross town companies to land massive defense contracts on their own, county brands banded together, retrained their people, shared knowledge, retooled machinery and brought the military work to York.
It became a national model.
